Support Available

Psychological Therapy for Young People

Psychological therapy for young people provides a safe and supportive space to understand their emotions, thoughts and experiences as they develop. Young people may be navigating changes in identity, friendships, family relationships, school or college, alongside challenges such as anxiety, low mood, self-esteem or difficult experiences. Therapy is adapted to their age, developmental stage, and individual needs, and may involve parents or carers where appropriate. The focus is often on helping young people develop emotional awareness, coping skills and confidence, while supporting them to make sense of difficulties within the context of their relationships and wider lives.

Psychological Therapy for Adults

Psychological therapy for adults provides an opportunity to step back from the demands of everyday life and explore difficulties in greater depth. Adults may seek therapy for anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, work pressures, significant life changes or experiences from the past that continue to affect them. Therapy can help adults understand patterns in their thoughts, feelings and behaviour, consider how past experiences may influence the present, and develop new ways of responding to challenges. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to the individual, with the focus guided by their circumstances, goals and what they would like to change.

Supervision and Training

Clinical psychology expertise can also support professionals, teams and organisations through supervision, training and consultation.

Clinical supervision provides a reflective space to think about clinical work, develop skills, consider different perspectives and maintain high standards of psychological practice. Training can be tailored to the needs of individuals or teams, covering psychological approaches, understanding mental health, working with complexity and developing therapeutic skills. Consultation offers an opportunity to draw on psychological knowledge to better understand complex situations, consider formulation and identify helpful approaches to care, supporting professionals and organisations to work confidently and effectively.
