Young Person Resources
It can often be daunting for a young person coming to sessions, or confusing parents to know any specific young people friendly resources. This area includes some helpful websites and apps designed for younger people, including crisis support services, psycho-education, and psychological skills. There's also some more about me, which can be helpful to share with your young person before an appointment.

Hello!
My name is Becky.
My job is a Clinical Psychologist.
Sometimes people come to see me when they may be finding some things difficult, and they want to make it better or easier. You may spend some time with me alone or with your parents/carers. I know talking to somebody isn't always easy, so there's lots of things we can do to help, like draw, play games, colour in, throw a ball.
I know seeing somebody for help can often bring on a lot of worry, lots of people feel this way and that is ok. You always have the choice in what we do and do not talk about, and you will have a say in whether you want to have the support or not. I will get your consent before any support starts, here's some more information about giving consent for therapy.
Here is a little bit about me so you can know me some more. You can ask me some questions about these when I see you!
MY FAVOURITES:
-
Colour: green or pink
-
Food to eat: fajitas or nachos
-
Animal: dogs
-
Thing to do at the weekend: take my dog on a forest walk
-
Sport: watching formula 1
-
Snack: crisps (monster munch!)
